Experiencing Nature with Tilia Yoga – Harrietsham Kent
Use your senses to discover more about the world around you and yourself.
Saturday August 13th 2022
10 am – 2.00pm
(Timing may vary dependent on the size of the group )
This event will involve Nature Therapy, food foraging tips and some physical yoga. We will take a mini-pilgrimage, a slow walk along the ancient pathway of pilgrims way heading towards a ancient open beech woodland. We will pass a few plants that I will introduce you to, they may be medicinal/edible or simply beautiful. Once at the woodland it’s time to enter a new world.
Forest bathing/ forest therapy (or shinrin-yoku) means taking the forest atmosphere. It is the conscious and contemplative practice of being immersed in the sights, sounds, and smells of the forest.
After some woodland immersion, we will find a lunch spot. You can try some foraged homemade herbal teas if you wish, hot water will be provided. I will bring along some light snacks for us to enjoy, please bring a packed lunch.
After lunch we will take a slow walk back cooling down, and taking part in some breath work to finish the day. Being out in nature and bathing in the woodland will helps us become calm and lighter on a spiritual and cellular level.
